Orange Raisin Cake Recipe

Servings:
makes 14 servings

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons orange extract
2 eggs
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup raisins

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Butter and lightly flour two 8 inch round cake pans or one 9 x 13 inch pan.
Mix ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth, folding in raisins last.
Pour into pan and bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Serving Suggestions:
Frost with an orange cream cheese frosting or leave plain.
Serve warm with ice cream.
