Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups molasses
1 cup sour milk
4 teaspoons baking soda (1 for milk to sour)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 scant teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Mix all ingredients.
Add flour to make dough suitable for rolling.
Roll out on floured surface and cut out,
or roll into balls and smash with sugared glass.
Bake at 375 degrees F.
