Fresh Banana Cake

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup mashed banana (abt. 2 medium bananas)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add banana, eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
Mix flour, soda and salt. Add to first mixture and blend.
Add sour cream. Beat well. Spread in pan.
Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool.
Frost if desired.
Split and fill with banana pudding and sliced bananas, if desired.
Or serve plain with vanilla ice cream.
