Almond Poppy Seed Bread

Servings:
makes 2 loaves

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup canola oil
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup poppy seeds
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

Directions:
Combine dry ingredients.
Combine remaining ingredients, then add to dry ones
stirring just until moistened.
Pour into two greased bread pans or into muffin tins.
Bake bread for 60-79 minutes or
muffins for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Serving Suggestions:
Drizzle glaze over bread --
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Bring ingredients to a boil.
Prick tops of bread or muffins and
pour glaze over bread.
